Trekking in the Himalaya describes such well-known treks as that to Everest Base Camp and the Annapurna Circuit, but it also includes rarely travelled routes to Gankar Punsum (the world’s highest unclimbed mountain) and the Nanda Devi Sanctuary - the first in Bhutan, the second in India’s Garwhal Himalaya. There are exciting treks to Makalu and Manaslu, to Kangchenjunga, Dolpo and Everest’s Kangshung Face in Tibet.
